I have to begin our story with our son Vance. When he was around 13, we discovered that he had a devastating disease called Beckers Muscular Dystrophy. Vance is one of my biggest Heroes. Even with the hand that life has dealt him, he is one of the most kind and compassionate people you will ever meet in your life. He keeps his chin up and plows forward day to day. He is an amazing person to be around and we are blessed to have him in our lives. If you know Vance, you know exactly what I'm talking about.

Candace and I have been together since October of 2006. We were married in August of 2010. Soul mates does not even begin to describe our relationship. We love experiencing life together.

We enjoy wetting a hook from time to time, typically fishing inshore off the coast of Georgia or Florida. I'm very fortunate to have a gal that loves to fish. In fact, when the bite is off, it's often very hard to pry her away from the fishing spot. "One more cast" or "Let me try a different bait" is what I typically hear.

Over the years we have taken Vance on several fishing expeditions. It seems when he goes along with us, although it is extremely difficult for him, the trip lifts his spirits and greatly improves his outlook on life and his condition.

We will always take him along when he feels like he can make the trip.

Inspired by Vance, we would like to share this experience with every MD kid we can. Our goal is to build a "handicapped accessible", 8 bedroom home on the waterfront near Carrabelle, Florida. The dock and the boats themselves will be custom designed for wheelchair access and water safety.

We will bring the child's entire family along and give them a much needed break from the day to day responsibility of taking care of a MD child. All who want to fish will be able to head out with us. The family members who don't care for fishing will have a choice of great alternative activities.

Our ultimate goal is to accommodate two families every other weekend during the summer as weather allows.

Please send prayers our way for God to continue to guide the way and bless us in our adventures with Barracuda Bob.
